This world still cares for the idealist, that’s what the recent movie “Arabikatha” portrays. To what extent it’s true, is a topic of debate. One thing is sure; it portrayed the life of unnoticed communists in our state, who still believes in the formation of an egalitarian society.
“Arabikatha”Visualizes, how they live and breathe Marxian ideology in a poignant manner. Furthermore, how the real proletarian leaders and their movements are hijacked by pseudo leftists. This theme is very much relevant, and connotes the rivalry between V.S. Achuthadanandan and Pinarayi Vijayan politics. Unfortunately, the climax of the film is amateurish, as it brings an unnatural ending to the story. And no one can blame the director for this intentional fault; instead he should be appreciated for his idiotic compromise to enliven Marxism in the state.
